Cost Sharing Program
The CAKE CISMA values the work that our region's residents do to promote native species and mitigate the spread of invasive species, especially on their own property. The work you do assists our mission, which is to protect the natural resources, economy, and human health in Northern Lower Michigan through collaborative outreach and management of invasive species. To assist you in your efforts, the CAKE CISMA has developed a cost sharing program to help you survey, treat and remove invasive species on your land. The CAKE CISMA uses a priority system to determine which properties will receive monetary assistance from the cost share program. Refer to the CAKE CISMA Priority Species List below to see how your species in question ranks; if you are interested in CAKE surveying and potentially treating your property, fill out the Invasive Species Site Visit Request Form above. Cost varies by species and acreage.
